Loan Starter Checklist

Items Needed “STARTER” Checklist

Thank you for your application for a mortgage loan.
To avoid any delay in processing your application, please submit the following information as soon as possible.


Purchasing Real Estate:

  • Credit/Debit Card for appraisal and credit report
  • Copy of Driver’s License and Social Security Card for ALL BORROWERS
  • Copy of your most recent paycheck stub(s), reflecting 30 days for ALL BORROWERS
  • Copy of your W2s or 1099s for the years 2015 & 2016 & 2017 for ALL BORROWERS
  • Copy of your Personal Income Tax Returns from the last two years (with ALL SCHEDULES attached)
  • Copy of your Business Income Tax Returns from the last two years (with ALL SCHEDULES attached)
  • Copy of your most recent TWO MONTHS bank statements for checking & savings **Include ALL PAGES even if blank or insignificant
  • Copy of your most recent TWO MONTHS statements for any retirement/investment accounts such as IRAs, Mutual Funds, Stocks, etc. **Include ALL PAGES even if blank or insignificant
  • Copy of your most recent 401k statement (annual or quarterly) **Include ALL PAGES even if blank or insignificant
  • Proof that your Earnest Money deposit has cleared your bank account (you can document this with a copy of your CANCELLED check along with a transaction history or current statement that shows this deduction and your current balance)

If you currently own Real Estate:

  • Mortgage account information
  • Home insurance policy information
  • Home equity account information (if applicable)

***Please note that once we review these documents, we may request additional information if necessary. Once we have all of the documents; including your appraisal, we will send your file down to underwriting for full approval. After they review the file, we will let you know if they need anything further. We try to anticipate what the underwriters want [the reason for the list above] to avoid delays but they do still sometimes request more documentation.***
